Ha Noi is truly a beautiful city. Lots of mopeds, taxis, people everywhere. Something very funny with the cars- the car horn is something strange, sounds as though when you push it, it continually horns until it fades out!! I arrived at Ha Noi 10.30pm and spent the next hour looking for a hotel with taxi buzzing to hard core house music. We eventually found an old cheap hotel in Old Quarter and even though the rooms were very damp, musty with mould on the walls, it was fine.
Its hard for anything to dry in Ha Noi- washed my hair and it was still feeling wet after two days!!
I walked around the lake everyday, got followed by some stalker guy, was asked by a Chinese tourist for a pic, met some bong smoking old guys who invited me to sit with them everyday on those tiny plastic seats!!!
Vietnamese food, is so declicous, fresh and tasty. By far my favorite food!
